Console Removal

I ended up getting some scratches on the silver console piece that goes around the shifter, down the passenger side left knee area, and back to the glove box. I have a new replacement piece but I am having some difficulty removing the old piece. Has anyone had to do this and can provide some insight. I want to yank on it but I am afraid I break something. Thanks everyone!

easiest way is with trim removal tools but really there is just tabs holding it down. I would say if you are replacing that piece to just get a flat head screw driver under an edge and start working your way down till she breaks free

To help clarify I have added a photo. My piece is silver but I'm sure you get the idea. Do you know if I must remove the lower passenger kick panel?

Centre console removal instructions. It's really easy. An interior trim removal tool makes the plug things much easier

The short shifter and solid bushings are amazing. You would probably be satisfied with just the steeda bracket and not the whole kit unless you've driven with the full kit.

Apparently not all MK3 Foci have the same center console? Mine is completely different. I like the configuration of yours much better *sad face*.

I just wanted to thank everyone for their help. I replaced the piece this morning without any problems at all. Typically, I screw something up so I was a bit worried but it went flawlessly.

The picture I used I had found online. I'm not sure which models have the plain black trim but I do like it. My pieces are silver. I'm not sure if the silver if from the Sport Package or not.
