SCT Tuner Q&A

Well its been a long while since I have been on here or even worked on my focus. Finally the car is completely ready for tuning and not having any stalling issues at idle. (Keep your tumble flaps) Anyway, I recieved my SCT Xcal 3 from Turbo Tom over a year ago and finally started playing around with it. I want to adjust my stock idle RPM, rev limit and speed delete. When I go to make the adjustment on my programmer it says that the function is not supported. Does anyone know how to get around this or is this something that I have to adjust through a tune file?

The rev limiter should be raised to 7000-7200 revs & the speed limiter should be deleted. You will have to e-mail him 'bout your idle rpm & whatever else you need. Why do you want a higher idle? Is your motor stock?

Motor has 11.2:1 CR pistons, stage 1 cams and lightweight flywheel. The car is running stock ECU program now. Runs beautifully but can def use a tune to get the most out of it. I tried to use Turbo Toms base tune but the car wouldnt even start with it uploaded. Wideband is reading perfect. At stock idle it runs kind of rough. If i could raise just the idle to about 950-1000 RPM it would be nice and smooth. However when I look through my SCT programmer at the Strategy tune it says that the device is not supported. What does that mean? What can i do so that it is supported?

Want to say I mentioned it before but I can't recall. That was about a year ago. When I figure out Wideband equations I will do a couple data logs and get them to you. Next couple of weeks I should have them.

Also I tried to upload the base tune and the car won't even start. Right now with the stock tune it is running pretty well. Fuel curves will have to be adjusted at the lower RPMs as it hesitates a little but everything else is smooth

Could it have been corrupt when you first sent it to me? Reason I'm asking is because when you first sent it to me it did the same thing
