Wow, that's amazing, craigsfocus! This would make a great submission to the "My Stories" section of http://social.ford.com. Submit your story here: http://social.ford.com/your-stories/cars/focussedan/

Seems legit I didn't believe it either on my road trip to Canada
No drafting or traffic, 100% highway except for the on ramp from the rest stop gas station.
Constant 60-65mph, I forget, but after a while I noticed I drove a lot and my gauge didn't move at all and was confused and decided to pull over to fill to check and got 48.5mpg

All the Mods have been working together to establish better guidelines for moving threads and possible re-structuring for things to make more sense. Thank you for that. I would suggest that someone move ALL of the "tranny problem" threads to the MK3 Recall/Problem section of the board. They're EVERYWHERE. Move them to one section and let them have at it up in there if they want, to their hearts' content!

DCT problems and issues, deserve's it's own unique category based on the feedback from those who are dealing with it.

Absolutely, I agree. And they shouldn't be scattered, they should be in one location so people doing research can FIND them, and those who aren't interested can more easily ignore them. Everyone wins!

Drafting is great for mileage but its hard on the paint and glass. All kinds of trash is kicked up by the truck tires and occasionally a rock big enough to crack the windshield or dent the sheet metal.

take care

This is true, you have to be careful about the roads you do this on...

I was driving back to NY through PA many years ago and in this one down hill/mountain section of I-80 there was blood and hamburger meat for more than half mile with chunks of barely identifiable dear scattered about. I happened upon the scene after it happened and can only imagine a heard of dear was hit by a convoy of tractor trailers going down the mountain. Talk about gory. I would not want to have been drafting behind one of those trucks...
