So here is the process of the floor being finished. We wanted to do something that tied everything together.

This is a picture of the floor being carpeted, you can see that the floor is a little different from before because we had to accommodate the larger amplifier.

Once the floor was placed in the car we had cut some plexi-glass windows to protect the amplifiers and crossovers.

Once the windows fit perfectly we had to polish the plexi-glass. If you look closely you'll notice the beveled edge that was put around the edges of the plexi. We did that because it gives the floor character instead of just having a flat piece of plexi-glass.

Once the test fitting was complete we took the floor back out to wire up the lighting effect.

The last step was putting everything back into the vehicle and wiring the lights up. I have the lights wired to the trunk light, that way when I open the hatch then turn on.

And thats all folks!! The build is finally complete!!

That looks amazing and super clean and keeps the hatch functional. Thats the best trunk setup I've ever seen. What kind of carpet did you use on that. I might have to copy that style.

This is the best! When I clicked this I was expecting to see something stupid, tons of amps or crappy bathtub style amp filling entire hatch and back seat compiled with dang tweeter pods facing every witch way or some crap like that.

But no, you kept it clean, brilliant, and functional! Cheers to you!

Im not sure what kind of carpet it is. I work at a custom stereo shop and we have all types of materials. It was the closet one that I could find that would match the factory carpet. I think the color is called dark salt and pepper. Ill try to find out for you.
