I was thinking the ZX3 seats have the latch the ZX5 might not for access to the boot.

Yes, they are the exact same, no difference at all.

The sedan rears are different from hatches because of the latches. All front Focus seats are the same except for ZX3 and all SVT fronts because they have the handle on the side to pull forward to get in the rear(even on ZX5 SVT's).

Clarification.

All first generation Focus seats are the same

The rear hatch seats for all hatches are the exact same.

The sedan rears seats have different mounting points, but they still can be modified to fit a hatch or vise versa. All front Focus seats are the same except for ZX3 and all SVT fronts because they have the handle on the side to pull forward to get in the rear(even on ZX5 SVT's).

There is a slight difference if you happen upon a car with a split bench cushion, and your car doesn't currently have one - there are two extra hinges to deal with, on account of each section of the cushion now needing it's own set. Fortunately, the mounting points are there on all cars, but you'll have to find them with a punch or something and then cut a couple of small holes in your carpeting.

The flip side of this is if your car currently has a split bench and you get a new one-piece bench - then you'll have a couple of ugly spots where there will be now be unneeded holes.

right, the SVT rear benchs are all 60/40 splits where non-svts have a solid bench with the 60/40 seat back split. One of the reason i want to go svt rears is for the 60/40 bench
