BTW the 6 second comment on a 94 Mustang V8? Here is a low 5's run with just an exhaust on a 94 with 169K miles (My old Stang). The new Mustangs also make a ton more power then the 4.6L which couldn't even keep up with the LT1 Camaro.

I love the thread, MAC what sea level are you at? I put down low 16's at a local track here bone stock auto.
People build civics, why not have a unexpected car that can take alot of the economy cars out there. Also grand am's have a large engine 3.5l. why wouldnt it make over 200hp? because OHV said so.

That low 5 second Mustang was a Cobra since that era of GT ran low 15s with 215hp which my same vintage Eclipse GSX was quicker.

Seeing as the Cobra only made 20-30 extra BHP that year and has bigger wheels and a body kit I don't think the Cobra's were that much faster. Also there was no accurate testing for the Mustang that year. Test were ran everywhere, street roads, landing strips and tracks. If you look deeply into it you will see them running anywhere from 14.1-15.9. Seeing as I watched a bone stock 95 GT 5 Speed run a 14.3 last Saturday at the track I highly doubt your low 15's source is correct.

Also general knowledge of SN95's (That was my Mustang) tells me that most do not run low 15's with a decent driver. That was me driving that Cobra not even two weeks after learning how to drive a clutch.

All Mustangs from 1974-1995 are butt-slow. Don't even try to come on here saying they would run 14s stock. That is simply not happening. My 2003 V6 Automatic Mustang was as fast or faster than any of the early 5.0 Mustangs and it ran mid 15s.

Maybe if I had slicks on it would've gone even faster, but goshdarnit wouldn't you know Ford never put slicks on from the factory.

My 05 ZX4 does 0-60 in 9.03. I wasn't impressed. It has a Steeda intake and a 91 octane tune. I feel like it should be a little faster than this? 1/4 mile time was 17.14 @ 82.7 mph I believe.

Wow, how can you compare a 2003 V-6 to the fox body Mustangs?. So all the 1987-1993 fox body Mustangs never ran 14's stock?, news to me. My 1992 hatch ran 14.40's stock.........granted I'm a decent driver. My 1988 stripper coupe ran 13.90's stock, and 13.70's with 3.73 gears, pulleys, 14 deg timing, and a panel K&N still on hard compound street tires. With a full 2.5 exhaust, 1-5/8 headers, and slicks I got in the high 12's, its not that hard.

So much wrong info in this post its unbearable.

2003 V6 Mustangs are dog slow. Your completely 100 percently wrong with all this information. Keep trying. As that was MY stock GT, don't think your V6 was keeping up with that and the Cobra's that year were not that much faster.

By the way the V6 Mustang for that year ran mid 16's super god. 0-60 in 9.7 seconds.

14.40 isn't even all the Foxes had either. The SN's with a good driver could run mid-high 14's, the foxes were quite a bit quicker. A DEAF kid I used to work with ran a 14.35 in an Auto with only a shift kit, everything else was stock.

A very uncomparable way but on the street my Cobra wasn't much slower then my Camaro and my Camaro was putting 13.8's stock. (Z28, LT1)

Best part, That Cobra wasn't a Cobra.

I literally had to go on Youtube and edit my videos for you guys. That was a 94 GT (Those damn slower then a V6 5.0) Heres the pics. Enjoy MAC, glad your V6 was a monster, you freaking know-it-all.

Sorry it wasn't stock, it had an intake on it too LMFAO. That's what must of made it a low 5's car...
