Thumbs up Just wanted to say thanks

I have a lot of drive, but no prior mechanical experience other than basic oil changes. However, with information almost exclusively gained from my time on Focus Fanatics, I successfully completed the following over the weekend:

Full timing assembly replacement (belt, tensioner, and pulley)
Serpentine belt replacement, with new tensioner
Water pump replacement
Leaky thermostat housing replacement (not an o-ring or sensor leak; the actual housing had started to separate and leak at the seam)--also replaced the thermostat
Valve cover gasket replacement

I also swapped in new Motorcraft copper plugs while I was at it (gapped to .060 as recommended). She's running better than ever, with no leaks or CELs (so far)! I wanted to give a big thanks to everyone here at FF, without whom I'd have probably spent at least two to three times as much as I did with a mechanic--and without the satisfaction of personal accomplishment to go with it!

Congrats, Ralliman! That's an ambitious first undertaking, you must, at least, have some mechanical aptitude and some tools. There is much to be said for maintaining your own car, especially one as uncommon as an SVTF, including the satisfaction of doing it yourself. Good job.
