stretched leather seats

I noticed over the past week or so that my driver's leather seat bottom has a stretched area that sort of pops up. Is this normal? I tried googling the issue and found a Porsche forum with a guy saying it was fixed under warranty, but that could just be Porsche owners being themselves. I figured I'd try to find out a bit more before trying some of the available leather products.
It's a 2012 model and about 10 months old with 7000 miles if that matters.
does anyone else have this issue? Is a conditioner and heat the best way to go?

I see this was moved, but how is this an interior mod? I'm not upgrading the interior, just trying to keep it stock. It didn't seem to fit the description of this sub forum, and I get the impression way fewer people read this portion than the main mk3 section.
If the mod sees this feel free to pm me. I would message rather than post, but I'm not sure who moved it.

I have a 2012 with leather, had it for about 1 year now. How often do you condition your seats? I find they stretch when I havent conditioned it in a while, then once I condition (after I condition i leave it a bit saturated for about 10 hours) it becomes tight again.

If your talking of a small bump maybe a few mm high i'd say thats normal. If its a huge stretch then Id take it to the dealer and get it fixed. The seats are covered under warranty (at least the dealer told me that)

If its that new take it in to the dealer. Worst they can do is say is that you did something to it and that they won't fix it under warranty. Best outcome is that they fix it for you. Always worth a try.

Yeah mine is probably an inch or so raised. I'll take photos later. I have yet to condition them, so that can't be helping. I need to pick up the electric focus rmm so perhaps I'll get that looked at then.

If its raised quite a bit the clips that old the seat cover may have come undone. I'd say take it to the dealer to have it fixed, but my previous experience with them fixing leather (at least the one near me) is that they have no idea how to secure the seat covers. I had to take it to my friend's upholstery shop to have it done correctly.

Hi asting,

Since you're concerned about it, having your dealership check it out is a wise next step. Let me know what they recommend; if you need my assistance, just send a PM my way.

Okay thanks.
Unfortunately my work has me doing crazy hours, so hopefully I can get a chance next saturday.

I've got a bony ass I know, but it seems a little bit much.

Well I called a couple dealerships, and have an appointment for next wednesday. It'll take two trips apparently because they need to document and ask the higher ups at ford what they want to do about it. After that they'll have me back to do whatever they decided upon.

Not exactly the most convenient, but at least I found a dealership that's open until 7pm.
