contour turbo build

well i started oplanning a build for my old focus but as they all do eventually my spi commit suicide. original plans for the contour were to be n/a with itbs and aggressive cams but the boost bug bit one again so its time for a turbo build. right now im still in the planning stages. what i have so far is 39# ford racing injectors walbro 190 pump garrett gt28 turbo some cheap boost gauge i got on here, bosch wideband but no controller and a turbo xs bov. this is going to be a slow build since im on a budget. next thing i plan on picking up will be a stock focus manifold to modify to accept the turbo. all other parts will slowly get accumulated as i go. for starters gonna run low boost on stock block with 76k miles. the 3 biggest things i have left to get are gonna be the wideband, an innercooler and the sct.i have a fmic from a tdi but i dont think ill use it since its plastic. few questions i have are at what point is a MAFia necessary will i need one even at low boost. also not sure if it would be the same for the contour as the focus. i geuss i should have mentioned by low boost i mean aroun 8-10 psi nothing too crazy. sorry for the run on im just excited to get things rolling or should i say spooling

You will need a MAFia for that amount of boost

ill post pictures of things when i figure out how to upload them ith my new phone. i just ordered a turbine inlet flange with gasket and will be going asap to pull apart to get a zetec focus manifold to modify. not sure if the focus manifold is heavy enough to hold up to a turbo without cracking ill have to look into that more

You can get an SPA for cheap, there is a cast down pipe too it would be much easier, cheaper and much more reliable.

ill have to make sure an spa would fit on a contour but i have thought about going that route. actually that was my original plan but i have the t25/t28 flanged turbo so id have to have an adapter to t3as well and i am going to use the internal wastegate so id have to get a block off for that also. still not completly decided on what to do.
