Vinyl wrap?

Has anyone wrapped the roof....spoiler or hood with vinyl wrap?? And where did you it? Or did you pay someone to do it?

i did a body wrap.. also wrapped my hood on a different occassion.
i did it myself in my front yard under a shady tree.

bought the vinyl online.. made templates for the body wrap..

keep it most (a little bit of dish soap in a spray bottle full of water..
be patient
take your time
have a squeegee and heatgun available.
don't try to force it as it will stretch and possibly wrinkle/crease the vinyl

and for visual reference (bring on the flaming!!!)

Where did you get that green vinyl? And would it be a problem to put vinyl over vinyl?

i got the vinyl from ebay from a vinyl shop. i don't quite remember the seller..
and yeah, you can do vinyl on vinyl. you just will have a slightly raised edge (just the thickness of the top layer of vinyl.. unless you are good with a heat gun and can smooth it out really well

I have to get me some of that. I found a shop on eBay.uk that had all kinds of colors and what seemed like pretty good prices all around.

Never apply wrap vinyl wet.... Ever.

Use proper tools, felt squeegee or low friction, a decent heat gun or torch. You don't need moisture. Watch a few videos on YouTube you can get the idea of wrapping... It's easy to do but takes practice, patience and know how to do a great job...
As for where to get material you can get cheap crap on ebay or go to any sign shop and they can get you quality stuff... Or pm me I can get it.

I've gotten quality stuff on Ebay.
And keeping it moist, not soaked, makes it easier to deal with.

You must be using normal vinyl not wrap vinyl, there is a huge difference... Wrap doesn't need moisture and is reposition able... I still wouldn't install normal vinyl wet either but people so it....

I'll trust you josh, it's your business and you know what you're doing.
I'm just passing along the tips I was given for a non-pro.
