Hydro->Polyurethane Motor Mount (SPI)?

Has anyone taken the stock passenger side motor mount apart? I'm curious as to if I could grab some polyurethane and essentially replace the hydraulic portion of it. I'm going on my 4th motor mount and about to go buy a motorcraft one.. But If I could just make my own I'd be happy with that. Thanks!

Sweet! I've hung onto that thread for awhile now, just been meaning to do it one of these days.

I think if you read the end or find posts down the road it failed. Their is just way to much force going on.

I think that was the initial setup though, there's mention of different material to use and a better way to do it.

Agreed, he had originally used a softer compound, not to mention it wasn't the liquid stuff so there's no telling if he was able to fill in all the cracks..

I'm driving over the road right now, but will be home for most of the summer come late April. I'll pick up some liquid stuff (Probably 80A grade) and try it out, with results reported back here after a couple months of running with it. I'll be testing it out with a 5k mile ride in late summer, so we'll have some what an idea of how well it works.
