Here are some pics of the AeroBlades on my sedan. I'm pretty happy with them and they seem to make a nominal impact on MPG. Averaged 36.4 on a 310 mi. trip (unloaded) from DC to Philly and back with some city driving thrown in. With the moon roof closed, they're silent but it's a whole other animal with it open... although that's probably asking a lot. With the moon roof open, the buffeting is quite noticeable but the worst part is a high-pitched whistle. I basically can't drive with it open when the bars are up. Starts whistling around 40 mph.

Important: the sedan setup has the rear bar positioned 3" closer to the front one versus the hatch. I don't really like the way it looks so I'm going to try and slide it back a bit.

Sorry for the dirty car and cell-quality pics.

53" Bars
480R Foot pack

Because of the design and slope of the roof the rear feet sit lower than the front, at least with Thule. I've got an email out to RockyMounts, which makes my tray, to see if they'll provide a part to level my tray to the ground so the rear doesn't sit higher than the front.

Honestly, it's aesthetically displeasing to me and I can't help but to notice it. It sets my OCD radar off.

If they provide the part I requested I think I can level it. I've gone as far as I can go without it. I'll update when I receive a reply.

Nice racks guys; too bad the focus doesn't have build in rails so installing a rack would be cheaper and easier.

It wouldn't make sense. These cars are aimed at the fuel economy minded Joe and Jane Smith types. And the aftermarket racks are more than easy to use.

Any recommendations for a nice rack set up? Gotta have something to haul the mtn/bmx bike when the weather warms up.

Not a recommendation but just an FYI my hitch and rack above cost me $468 OTD. Not sure if you like the idea of a rack that can be taken on and off... I do like the look but you will need to consider if you want the paint slightly scuffed by the Q-Tower feet(this might need to be discounted by someone who has a roof rack and has taken it off, after some time).

I'm not sure how much a brand new roof rack is but getting one under $300 might be tough.

I was able to scrounge eBay for some of the necessary parts to complete the rack. And diligent searching for the rest. All said and done I got the whole rack for $270. Local shop could of gotten it to me for $290.

It can be done, if the work is put into it.

Yakima specs different Q Clips now - likely re-engineered. Q5 and Q83 (not sure which is front/rear). I pick mine up this weekend and will report back.
