4.6L V8 Focus Socal

I've gotten a couple requests for pics of my V8 Focus, so here they are.

Conversion uses a 4.6L Cobra Mustang engine without the blower, T56 transmission, 8.8 rear axle. Dyno puts me around 270 whp and 290 lb-ft torque. Cable clutch from the Kugel conversion kit was dumped for a custom hydraulic system. Due to how low the exhaust runs to the ground, I have no choice but to keep the car at that ride height for street use... so yeah, bring on the 4x4 comments Eventually I'm just going to get bigger wheels and taller tires to fill it in better.

The car was built by Muscle Motors in Canoga Park. Unfortunately no undercarriage shots but I can try to dig up some from the build progress later today. Also added some videos taken of the car before the resonators were installed, the exhaust note is now tolerable but I still need to add some insulation to get the cabin noise to a more reasonable level.

Custom built 16-gallon fuel cell in the trunk

Interior looks almost stock... pardon the steering wheel, it's an older car and due for a refresh soon

Shot of the new clutch master cylinder assembly under the pedals for the T56 transmission

Yeah I got it done just over a year ago and spent the last few months sorting out the remaining bugs. It drives fine now, suspension is on the stiff side and feels a little front heavy but it handles good around corners and the power is respectable. Kugel's steering shaft design isn't that great but it works and still feels better than most economy cars. Like I said, the interior can use more sound insulation, but other than that I'm fairly happy with it.
