Mk3 Only ! After market dampers ..where are they?

I installed my eibach sportlines at 1500 miles @ 2200 miles I know the stock dampers "struts" need to be replaced. The ride is fine, handling is great.

*warning small rant ... the "focus" [bootyshak has been on the ST as far as tuning and aftermarket parts. How many frickin units has ford sold compared to its lower class step children .. the bastard children SEL SE Ti ....

"Global Focus new registrations totaled 737,856 through September, making it the world’s number-one selling vehicle nameplate. Fiesta new vehicle registrations totaled 560,061 for the same period, making it the world’s best-selling B-Car, according to Polk.

Has anyone found a good HD / performance damper "strut" for our cars?

Wait are you saying after installing your sportlines, 700 miles later the struts are bad?

No; however, IMO I think they are a little too soft for the roads I drive daily.

Now that the springs have settled, I have zero wheel gap and no rubbing on the stock tires and 17's

compression .. is the main issue bumps (pot holes, railroad X ect) medium and up ..

rebound ..

Still no answer .. euro bilstein has one option in HD $700 for two struts plus
importing .. that's just NUTS

The most common so far is ST struts for the front and an aftermarket option off of a C30 or similar vehicle

Get ST front struts from Village Ford and Ti Handling package rear shocks from Village Ford for the cheapest set-up on a non-ST MK3 (ST rears are specific and will not work).

Other options for the rear that are inexpensive would be C30 R rear shocks (stock ones are made by Bilstein) or Mazda 5 or MS3 stock rears.

Aftermarket you can go with fronts made for an ST and rears for just about any C1 Ford chassis derivative.

These are not your only options but are options do not require modifications to the struts to make them fit (like you would if you tried using a Mazda 3 strut for instance).

Look over in Europe, there is plenty to be had. You can get a part number and contact you NA rep to do a special order. It's how I got my H&R lift kit ofr the Jeep.

You can buy a complete set of Bilsteins (B6 or B8's) for the MK3 from European-parts.net.

With shipping to the US, the set of B8's ends up costing between 608 to 650 EURO (depending on the shipping method you choose), which works out to about ~$794 to ~$849
