By far my favorite so far.
I bought from ProClip these two :

- the vehicle mount
- the device holder (choose the brand and model of yourself). I bought one that permits adding a cable to charge the iPod Touch 4 while driving.

Then, I bought a 10' charging cable from Griffin and that's it.

I pass the cable "under" the rubber along the door frame, then pass it behind the driver chair and back to the center console. The cable fits through the hole latch and then it's plugged into the USB port.

I like this setup mostly because it is not making me look down when driving (like the other setups presented here), so I keep my eyes on the road ahead.
I have MFT and NAV, so I only bought it for filming and OBD2 use, but I am sure that if you want to use the navigation on your iPhone, it can be the best setup.

Thanks for the info.
What did everything cost you, if you don't mind me asking.

All in all was for a total of 120 $ + taxes and shipping (being in Canada, the shipping was a bit higher than for US). I think in total was arround 150 $. Yes, some would say it is outrageous, but for me, they were money good spent. I don't regret it at all.

I think I'm going to stick with the cup holder. Other than the crazy expensive $67 accessory (which I'd gladly pay a more realistic $15 for), nothing is impressing me.

Check the BST section for Promount iPhone 4 holder. It's what I have, love it.

Why is it that these holders seem awesome - they seem like something I could not live without - then when I find out the cost, I'm instantly turned off?

I know I would use it almost every day, but it is hard for me to justify paying more than $30 for a phone holder.

My iottie was only $16 shipped, but even without a sale you can get it for around $20. The suction cup is solid on the dash. As I said I would like the phone a little closer, but the only mount that does that is the pro-clip, and it is way way way overpriced.

I'm intrigued.. Do you drive manual?
I'm wondering if this will get in the way of my shift knob or my hand rest...
