AC Unit/Heat not working initially?

I started up my car and let it run a little bit. I then hit the defroster/heat for the front windshield but there was nothing. All I heard was a weird churning sounds then continuous low thumps or pumping sounds. The rear defroster worked as well as everything else in my car. At first I thought it might be too cold but turning it on/off did nothing. I tried AC, front windshield heat, feet, direct etc...nothing. I even restarted the car a couple of times. I gave up and decided to drive anyway (hopefully the front windshield wouldn't fog up),but as soon as I removed the E-break I tried the heat blower one last time and it worked. Has anyone experienced something like that?- I tried searching around but couldn't find anything. I thought it might be a feature...but that wouldn't make sense. I thought the motor or air pump or w/e might have broken, but it works now and its a new car, only a couple of months old.

Later tonight I started my car and was able to have the heat on immediately.

Just wondering :) ... if its something simple and stupid sorry :P

You have digital climate control, and computers sometimes act up for no reason. Still, wouldn't hurt to have your dealer take a glance.

If you decide to head to your dealer to have this checked out, please let me know so I can look into some options. :)
