my car has hicup? choke? studder?

not sure what term to use to describe my problem.

happens all the time (cold or hot) anytime im getting on the freeway partway up the ramp second gear and third gear as im trying to accelerate my car hic ups two or three times and then proceeds as normal. the entire car jerks forward and back. UH. UH. UH. and then its off to the races no problems.

most often on uphill on ramps. havnt really noticed it going downhill.

im wondering if its the high rpm acceleration or just the quick shifting? i dont know. please help. i just wanna speed racer like the rest of them.

What rpms are you shifting at? Chances are if your speed racing, your rpm is not below 3000 when shifting. Shifting too early can cause similar symptoms. The 2.0 SPI engine only has 110 HP stock from factory so if it is a steep incline Its going to be slow going unless your riding first and second for a good way up the rpms. But on the upside fuel economy with the engine is great, i regularly got 30~ mpg.

With my car ive always had smooth accel smooth ride, but its a slow car if not for the 5 speed letting me abuse it.

Unless you are lugging the engine between 2 and third gear I can't see any UH. UH. UH. (what) happening. There's somethin else going on.

Sounds like a fuel delivery problem, when did you last replace fuel filter?
