To Turbo or Not to Turbo?..seriously; that is the Question...[dunno]

I'm looking into getting a Garrett GT2871R turbo kit. I haven't really any idea of what to look for in a turbo (other than basic operations), but know that I wanna go this power route...and like Ricky Bobby, I wanna go fast. I know there's a lot of turbo saavy gear heads out there. Any testimonies on what's good for gettin?

Moved to "General Forced Induction & Ecoboost". This is possibly the best place to get your answers about going turbo or not. Feel free to ask as many questions as needed. Everyone is here to help one another.

It depends on a lot of variables.

-What power do you want to make
-How fast do you want the turbo to spool?
-how reliable do you want it

There are A LOT of different types of turbos.

Sooo many options. And what's ur whp goal as well. If u want a great dd and lil throw back in ur seat like 225whp a nice 48mm turbo would suit your fancy better. Quick spool to get up and go. The draw back. The powerband isn't big enough and your hp goals are limited

Tell us these things in this priority.

1. Budget
2. Hp goals
3. Reliability (this will effect 1 and 2)
