Looks good I think that's the first useful thing I've seen dip used for.

I'm really surprised how well it came out too. I didn't do crap for prepping. I just wiped it down with a clean cotton cloth.

Truthfully, it's just the reservoir cover. I believe the the SVT's have them. I was just using the part name.

yeah, I've seen it around a bunch and been like "where the actual ___ does that go, and what is it?" but I never wanted to make a thread to ask it lol. how hard is it to remove to tank to paint it?

The tank isn't to hard to remove, 1 bolt and a push pin like thing hold it in place and then the hose clamps come right off... I'd drain the coolant off first though...

Love the look of the plastidip on there, let me know how it hold up to the heat as time passes...

Cool, I just checked it out, I think I could get away with a 1/2 ounce "pen" of top and base coat for about $20 for both... I've had some miss fortune trying to match other brands because they were always a tad off...

maybe in some parallel universe we're related. ha. will a pen be enough to do your whole hood? or is it only a few deep scratches and not a bunch of general scratches. and i havent used it either, but someone else on here pointed me to it for when I repaint my side skirts after I fill the holes
