Discovered that 87 octane can infact removed VHT nightshades, and a bit of compound, and polish will make em look new after that.

Decided to try to beat the rain and finally install my Skunk2 steel short shifter, of course half way through it started to rain. I was fine until the water came under the car looking for me.

Couldn't leave the project unfinished, though.

Before (not "my" car but the same car)

After (my actual car)

I haven't taken it for a spin yet since I had a couple beers while working on it. I played through the gears after backing it off the ramps and I think I'll like it.

(Click on picture for full gallery)

Spent the weekend with a can of black of plastidip, followed by a can of white plastidip (actually...2 cans)

I wonder how long it'll last. I think I like the white. If/when it looks nasty, I'm taking the rubber pieces off and having them painted for good.

Did the power steering pump. What a PITA. Next up antifreeze and transmission fluid change then Friday body shop. Closer to the end.

Moar bedliner, masking the curves was hell!

Looks awesome though, my brother said that it looked "snazzy" and that it needs a roof rack and a surf board

Also de-badged the front grill...

Need to continue the bedliner onto the bumpers so it flows better.

^ That's kinda the plan... but I haven't quite decided how I'm going to go about it yet... For 2 reasons:

1) The front bumper is a bug magnet, it caches bugs and wears them like a mexican mustache! (no joke!) So I haven't decided whether or not if I want it to stretch the whole length because it would be hard to clean...

2) The first 12" or so on the hood needs to be re-pained because the PO/OO had a hood bra on the hood, and it scratched it all up...

So I'm deciding how exactly I want to go about it, I'll probibly end up doing it and just using a pressure washer to blast the bugs off, but dunno if I want to do a coon face on the hood or scrape up the money for OEM paint...

go to paintscratc.com they have spray cans of OEM coded paint for like 20ish for 12oz. way more expensive than regular spray paint but way less that it would be to take it to a body shop. but I agree with the bumpers being done, and the surfboard and roof rack

I'm too cheap to buy a degas cover. So I dipped mine today. I'm probably going to do the p/s reservoir another day.

I also went back to black side moldings. I got sick of touching up the color match I had.
