I got my CO tester this week and tried it out in the leaky Honda. Apparently I am NOT being gassed to death which is nice. But I guess that means something else (I'm guessing the worn out seat) is leaving me feeling weird when I drive the car.

Now that the car is properly registered and insured, I took it for a spin on some windy roads. A nimble, precise, lithe canyon carver it is not. It was actually kind of scary. Of course I still haven't done anything about the brakes, shocks, or worn suspension bushings so that had something to do with it.

While out in the boonies I did discover that the car will still do a nice solid burnout and hard launch, even after all these years. It launched hard enough that plastic trim pieces inside the car popped off and flew around inside. Something about the absurdity of this car just makes me laugh.

Ha, nope that's the Honda. Of course the GTO will do a nice hard launch too... but somehow in the GTO it's like "yeah whatever, big deal" where the Honda is like "wow this little sh_tbox can do that??" That engine may only be 1.5 liters but it really wants to please you.

Busy Week

In the past seven days so much was done to the car. First was the timing belt and water pump next was full tune up then oil change converted to Mobile1. Changed drivers side motor mount sway bar end links. Next on the list power steering pump. Next Friday she goes to paint.

All I did today was give my Focus a well deserved washing and detailing. :)
