...:::Update:::...

Picked up the block from the shop. Good news is it's all clean and finished, bad news is the previous owner of the piston bought SVT rings for the pistons and decided to gap them himself.....Needless to say he overgapped the 2nd rings to .03 and i need them at a .0197 so i will be contacting total seal today and seeing if they can sell me 4 new middle rings. I PRAY THEY SAY YES!!!!!

On a sidenote i made a how to on the top of the Forced Induction section of the forums as to how to paint the intercooler with an SVT logo. Here is the finished product.....

And here is a picture of the finished Intercooler pipes... Why did i exhaust wrap them???? Because i had nothing better to do and figured it'd help keep IAT's lower :P

Here's a good question and if anyone can answer i would be very thankful. The Torsen LSD is going to have to be taken to the machine shop to get bearings pressed.... Now do they set the preload there or is the preload actually done on the pinion? I tried researching online and couldn't find anything on the forums.

And if I have to set the preload does anyone know how to do so as I have never done this before and would like to not break my LSD.

Thanks in advance guys,

Anthony

I'm a fan of overkill lol. I have 100ft 2in so I figured I'd just wrap everything rather than let it sit in the garage. All I have to wrap now is the DP and SPA mani, which I have about 50ft left to do.

you dont need to go all the way to the end of the pipes. you have to leave room for the couplers...

Tim:

I know that lol, I only wrapped them to the end so I could tape them. I have not received my metal ties from DEI. Once I get them I will be finishing them each about 2inchs away from the ends :P.

Thanks ZX :D, I'm hoping when I pull the motor and trans I can really wash out the engine bay for some good photos for my how to's.

Most likely dropping off the diff and hub assembly at the machine shop on Tues for new wheel bearing and diff bearings.

Yeah that's what mine sounds like. Vibrates a lot in the driver front. How's your build coming along?
