I was thinking that it would work well with the cams. If I dont have to move the ps pump and stuff I just might get this. I emailed FSWerks as well just to make sure because for whatever reason, when you select the 2.0 modified it says its for 08 +.

I thought that the D23 in the fusion and escape was different because they had vvt and dbw. Same problems faced with the Mazda 3 D23. They would not be good candidates for a direct swap as I understand it. Is that right?

Mazda MZR: The L-engine uses a chain-driven DOHC, 16-valve valvetrain with an all-aluminum block construction and cast-iron cylinder liners. Also featured are intake cam-phasing VVT, VTCS, VICS, a stainless steel 4:1 exhaust header and a lower main bearing cage for increased block rigidity. Direct-injection is available on the 2.0L LF-VD

Sooooo.....I was right? Those engines would not be good candidates for a swap. Thanks for the info.

RPMischris , I think you would be far better off going with the Cosi knock off intake , do that and add the 2.3 and your far better off then just adding the ts intake
The cosi knock off is a very good intake and for the cost ???? I also think it will have better low and midrange for your needs , making it fit the PS is easy Tom

Who knows just yet what I will end up doing. Finances have changed a bit over the past few months. Hopefully I can score this awesome new job I am being considered for and all will be good because disposable income will be through the roof. Lol. If I get it best believe I will be going turbo sooner rather than later. Ahh the joys of not having kids and pretty much no responsibilities.
