Sadly, it does not look like the designed TRES will fit in this SE-type console. You'll notice the bigger console has a curved profile (along the perimeter), but the SE-type is more rectangular. There does not appear to be any common geometry between the 2 center consoles so we'd have to design something entirely different for the SE-type console. Unfortunately this is probably beyond the scope of this project (unless this project is cray successful and I get enough funds to commission another mould).

It looks like you already have a change tray though, I hope that provides some consolation.
Damn.
I was really hoping for the extra storage space..
Oh well.

Yeah, and I was hoping we could get this tray to work with the SE's.

I'm not exactly sure why Ford decided to go with 2 different interior layouts (with minimal interchangeable parts). This seems like it would make things more expensive to manufacture, stock and build.

If you end up making these and have a dud (imperfections) shoot me a PM.. I'd love to try and use the dremel to make it fight mine.

I was looking at this thread and thinking "wow how does that fit? It looks so much bigger than stock."
Now I understand.

To answer your question, yes the RCA cable fits under the tray when it is plugged in!

(Sorry for the double post mods! But it looks like the Paypal Confirmation went faster than expected! Also is there any way to change the title of the thread to reflect this update?)

I've bitten as well. Question, though; will this have a "soft" surface where the stuff we put into the shelf will sit? Would not want a hard surface that produces rattles or could potentially scratch a sensitive item in the tray.

I will be finalizing things with the supplier once we are closer towards reaching our funding goal. I will ensure that the tray is made from a material that gives off a quality soft surface finish.
