What material will it be made out of? Hard plastic? Rubberized plastic?

How much clearance will there be for the RCA ports?

I'm not sure what the production part color will be, the mock up/ prototype was 3D printed or SLAed as a mock up using that white plastic resin to show off what the finished product should look like.

I'm not sure what the o.e. one is made of, but if this one was made in black it would match the inside of the console properly.

Black will be the standard color. We have not finalized material yet but I would like to use a softer, more rubberized plastic. The Indiegogo project will have one other exclusive color "arctic white" to match with those with arctic white interior or white platinum/oxford white exterior (this part will be more expensive).

2012silversel: Can you post a picture of your Escape's interior Console area (bird's eye view - see pic below). I will be able to make a judgment based on the general shape of your car's center console.

slybarman: To answer the Note 2 Question, the height of the main compartment is about 5.18". This can fit phones such as iPhone 5 but unfortunately the Note 2 will not fit (it's a hulk at 5.95" high). But keep in mind this is designed for people who put the phone in their pocket and when they enter the car, they take it out and put it in the TRES. (Unless you put the Note 2 in your pocket then.. BOSS)

Some with an SE console (not a username): Could you post a bird's eye view of your center console like this. I want to see if the designed TRES can have added functionality of fitting with the SE center console. thanks in advance.

Sadly, it does not look like the designed TRES will fit in this SE-type console. You'll notice the bigger console has a curved profile (along the perimeter), but the SE-type is more rectangular. There does not appear to be any common geometry between the 2 center consoles so we'd have to design something entirely different for the SE-type console. Unfortunately this is probably beyond the scope of this project (unless this project is cray successful and I get enough funds to commission another mould).

It looks like you already have a change tray though, I hope that provides some consolation.
