Custom Composite sculpting

ok so im thinking of starting to do custom work, interior and underhood, what are some good composite materials or other substances i can get/make and form custom things, such as gauge pods molded into the gauge surround or radio surround, or even an intake manifold, and if you dont know i am a bit artistically and mechanically inclined

ok...go out...for your guages, just pick up the pillar pod...a dual and a single...just attach it a cheap way, lay some resin and fiberglass down over the edges...gonna need a few layers...then sand it down, and paint it to match....oh yea, i suggest sanding both pillars down and use the same paint...just incase :)

as the the radio surround with gauge...take something thats a cylinder...then do the fiberglass over that....when dry...cut out the circle carefully...and sand it...might wanna try something else. but i figured this could help ya out a little.

just look on the net...you might wanna look around at custom stereo installers near you...they might even give you some, the fiberglass is very cheap, the resin is whats gonna cost ya...

thats whats cute.

anyway, id see if u could get the little SVT Gauge insert that goes in the coin holder, i always liked that a lot on the on that i had. but then i dont know what gauges u would use because of the pillar pod.

a gauge on the radio bezel.... hmm fiberglass would be the best way if u want it to sit nicely and clean. lemme know how the fiberglassing goes when u do it. ive never done anything like that before :)

If you sent TheOtherRobert an email, you will have to wait until tomorrow or tuesday before you get a reply. I registered it as my work email address before. If you want to send it to me again, i have switched it back to an accessible email. If you want to simplify the process though, just send me (angrybeef) a private message. Thanks.
