2012/13 Focus roof rack?

I want to install some Yakima roof rails on my Hatchback with sunroof to haul a kayak with. Any idea how I can determine wiring location in the roof area without pulling down the headliner. I plan to install them just inboard of the black trim pieces that cover the roof seams. Thanks.

you realize that most roof racks require no drilling and use existing mounting point right?

The Yakima tracks are 48" to 54" long tracks that are fastened permanently to the roof. You can then use Yakima or Thule systems to mount to them. They don't clamp to the gutters or hook into the roof/door area. It's really a nice clean system and they have mounting hardware that does not require inside access to fasten.

Search bar this one my friend. There are quite a few owners on here who have thrown Kayaks up on the roof and have pics/discussed their tie down points etc. If it were about bikes and cargo boxes I'd send you to my thread I made ages ago...
