Newbie SVT owner

Hey guys just thought I would register to the forum as a member because tomorrow I will be a proud owner of a Red 2002 SVT it has 149xxx, and I picked up for relatively cheap it needs some cosmetic work, but the motor and trans is good. I have wanted a focus SVT for a long time but just got around to finding one for the price range I have. I'm getting it as DD because I currently have a miata and its more of a track/autocross vehicle, and I dont like driving it everyday because I can't put anything in it size wise. But anyway here are some pics of the SVT, and the miata for your viewing pleasure

I think you call a 1-800 SVT phone number or something. Check the sticky threads at the top of the forum area it should have that info there. I would link it for you but I'm at work right now and busy lol

Alright I will browse the forum, and see what I come up with. Also since Im here are the regular focus, and the SVT radio bezel surround the same? The one on the car Im picking up is cracked, and it appears that the dials are silver in color so it maybe an SVT only thing. I just want to replace it with a cleaner looking bezel thats not all scratched up.

Tip14! When was the timing belt and associated pulleys last changed? How about the thermostat housing, the clutch master cylinder, the IMRC? These are all common replacement needs on our SVTs.
The radio bezel, except for color, is the same for all 00-04 Foci. SVTs only, have the silver dials.

The timing belt was 20,xxx back. The thermo recently (and why in the world is it made of plastic) The IMRC recent. Now the clutch master Im not sure, but the clutch did have a spongy feel. Not like its bad just not very stiff. I dont know if its just the car or what, but it seemed good. I have some money saved up for maintenance and odds and in's if it needs something.

Well I will just pick up a standard focus bezel, and rock it until I find another SVT bezel no big deal really thanks for the info.

The SVT one is all black I believe, the a/c and fan controls that are silver are specific to the SVT, all others are black and green with the obvious red on there for heat.
