Questions about Underdrive Pulleys

Im looking into possibly doing this to my 04 but have some questions first. I have some audio work done to my car incl. a sub and it seems like there is already alot of power draw at idle (dash lights and headlights flickr, I know the big 3 will help when done). My question is will the UDP make this worse? Also are the gains typically worth it?

Im well aware that this is an opinionated or biased upgrade, but I have seen other cars be successful with it.

Sorry for the Newb post ahead of time

Without changing out most of my lights to LEDs, I needed to raise my idle speeds to keep the alternator out of 100% duty cycle at idle with accessory loads on.
With your additional amp draw, you will definately need to raise idle speeds.
I personally gained FE from 27.89 mpg (41k miles of data) to 28.82 mpg (7400 miles of data), with the UDP's.
You can also add rpm to the base idle when the alternator duty cycle is high and battery voltage is under a threshold level...with a tune..
Do you have a tune? Tom could probably hook you up wth that.

You can get UDP that come with a pulley for the alternator that keeps it spinning the correct speed.

All in all, I wouldn't think it'd be worth it. But hey, it is a possible 2hp step up!

I took mine out and I don't have any stereo equip. I'd didn't raise the idle and with the lwfw would die sometimes. Battery light flashed a lot if I wasn't moving.

Have to agree , not worth installing even IF you get 2hp from them
