The subs that's alot of air space which makes for alot of slop, they throw alot alot more then let's say subs that are in a 2 cube box.....yeah it'll be louder just because they have so much space what's the recommended air space 2.5?

Not when the amp is turned down a bit to allow for a very clean signal. suggested airspace for optimal output is 2.5 for the pair. Im at about 2.8 before port displacement so it is prib just about right

lol hmmm before port displacement my box is 3.7cuft lol hmmmmm my box is 2.958 after port displacement haha... Options, build new box that is shallower for my trunk space and close to 2 cuft. Or make my cutouts larger and go sa12's (=

You need to measure your voltage at the amp not with engineer test mode

What GTO is that? 1004?

Also I am loving the old EQ.

And to Chase, you can always decrease displacement by adding ballast to the box. Something like 2x4's with rounded edges(think standing waves)to reduce volume by .30cuft.=576cu.in.(if my math is right). Or, build another box.

Yeah I may have to do that. It would be more cost effieicent than buying bigger subs or building a whole new box. Plus I wont get in trouble for buying more car audio as I am about to get married in 6 months lol I spent a hefty little bit on this last change up

You can also stuff it with some acoustic insulation. A lot easier, just keep stuffing until you reach the sound you want. I had 3 tens in a box in my Taurus and when I switched to Comp Vs they required less volume. Worked for me.
