Clutch acting wierd
So I have been searching the forum today for someone with a similiar issue but cant really find it so I thought I would ask....So when Im starting off the line in first gear or shifting to 2nd or 3rd I wil push the clutch in and then out. The clutch however will take a few seconds to fully disengage so you can imagine in stop and go traffic how annoying this is. When im on the highway and shifting to 4th or 5th I will let the clutch out and give gas and instead of it being instantanious the RPM will be delayed again a few seconds.
Is there some sort of fix for this that doesn't include getting a new clutch lol |

Where am I?

It sounds as if your clutch is slipping and the only solution for it would be to replace it. There is no magic cure-all chemical to help you out here. It's get it fixed or don't drive it.

Doesn't slipping mean it disengages from gear? Where as my problem is that it is staying engaged for a few seconds longer than it should when the clutch pedal is released so I cannot get off the line quickly. Im kind of a noob so I could be talking out my a$$

start by bleeding the clutch and see if anything happens.

This is kind of difficult to understand.
When you are "disengaging" the clutch, you push the pedal down. When your foot is off the clutch pedal, the clutch is "engaged." Worn/Slipping clutch = RPMs increase and your speed doesn't, while in gear, with the clutch engaged (foot off clutch pedal). Hanging Revs = When you push in the clutch, and shift into the next higher gear, and start letting off the clutch, the RPMs don't fall when you let off the gas OR in worse situations the RPMs rise. |

What would you recommend for hanging revs? My car occasionally does this when warming up then it gets better after about 5 minutes.

Still haven't figured this out if its the clutch or hanging revs....But when im in any gear with the clutch out and step on the gas the RPMS shoot up but the car doesn't accelorate like it should. Theres a delay like the clutch is engaged then it finally catches up after a few seconds. Thoughts? Will putting new transmittion fluid in do anything?
