Toasty's MK3

I take pictures every now and then so I might as well post them somewhere where others might enjoy them too.

I got my mk3 back in the beginning of Dec '13. It was a very quick buy, I did not really get a chance to look around (my last car broke down and I was ready to get something new). I'm 19 but I love working and building my own things (computers, 8 foot reptile cages fully automated weather system, etc). Anyways, I've loved my car since the day I got it. It fit my budget and after reading on here for months and months I have started modding the car.

Mods so far:
-FSwerks stealth exhaust
-Tom's tune
-Dipped wheels
-Painted Calipers
-Subwoofer

To come:
-CAI
-Motor Mounts(maybe)
-Suspension(maybe)
-Headers(maybe)
-Carbon fiber or black plasti dipped fog bezels
-emblem overlays
-dr.colorpaintchip for chips in the paint
-carbon fiber or black plasti dip whiskers on front besides the emblem

Thinking about keeping the performance parts to just I/E/T for a while and working on the aesthetic things for a while, mainly because I would like a manual car to really really add the performance parts too.

Enough talk here's the pics, beginning to now.

Stock, with 20% tint added by me.

After dipped wheels, calipers, and subs added.

Not sure how long these will stay...not liking the 0 room in my trunk now.

After exhaust and gorilla lug nuts installed

Yes there is a little road rash, only on this tire. I didn't realize I was taking a pic of the bad wheel. Story is I slid after one of the 10 or so inch snows we had this winter. Slammed into a curb and that happened. Luckily that was the only damage.

You're off to a good start since I have nothing to make fun of.

Thanks! Haha I'm definitely open to constructive criticism, I'm trying really hard to get done the chips in the paint, the bezels, the emblems, and debadging before I make the trip to FF14 this year.

I would love to lower the car, but I've hit so many potholes this winter I don't even think I could get away with it lol.

Just ordered some emblem overlays, getting ready to dip the fog bezels, and planning my trip to FocusFest this year. Lots to do in the next week or so!

f you're going to dip the fog bezels I recommend giving them a few coats of a gloss clear so they don't look dipped and they will last a lot longer. I did mine last year and they are still retaining a nice semi shine sheen and showing no blemishes at all.

Looks good, rock chips do suck the big one though. I'm going through the same issue and can't find another manufacturer other than Ford with the paint match

Will they still peel even with the clear coat? I have a can I just didnt use it because I thought they wouldn't peel. I already put them back on too...they were such a pain to get off, I'm sure they'll be harder now with the dip on them. I also dipped the two front chrome pieces one either side of the ford emblem. Is there an easy way to pop those out? Because I didn't do such a great job of painting them while they were on the car.

And Dusty, Dr.ColorPaintChip has a match for my candy blue, check them out. I just haven't had the extra 50$ to dish out recently.

Yes, you can still remove the dip by just using a little paint thinner on the clear paint. I don't think the "whiskers" just pop off so don't try to pry em up.

Yeah my brother thought they did even when I told him not to try and he tried prying them up and left a little scratch and dent in the black plastic. The end actually did pop up but the rest didn't.
