'05 ZX5 CD player problems

Hey everyone

I have had my ZX5 for the better part of a year, and recently (Last 2 or 3 months) my CD player has begun acting strange.

For the most part, the CDs that I have in the changer will work fine on the first few tracks, but once track 4 or 5 comes around (Some times 9 or 10, depending on the CD, but it is pretty constant and mostly repeatable with each CD) starts to get static pulses and some times skip around. This is usually unable to be fixed, however some times, I can play tracks that would be otherwise unable to be listened to. I like to think that some fairy decided that this song was worth me listening to (Hey, with issues like this, you need to chill some times xD)

The CDs are immaculate, and I have tried them in other systems, and the problem isn't the CDs.

For a while, If I switched the CD number, and then switched back, it would fix it, however that stopped working. I also tried ejecting and replacing CDs in different slots, but to no avail.

Has anyone else had this problem before? Is it fixable?

Also, if I have to get a new deck, where do I start looking. I would probably want to upgrade, and I don't need the 5 CD changer. And is this a normal problem, or should I get a better after market one?
