Indeed. My ZX3 is about 2700 pounds and would be down 70HP. The new ST sounds like fun...though I echo the hope for a 3 door.

Yep. IMO the only thing that might be holding the Fiesta ST back might be the torsion beam rear suspension. We'll have to see how reviews and test drives change that opinion. Ford has worked wonders with the live rear axle in the Mustang so I wouldn't be surprised with stellar results out of the "outdated" torsion beam in the Fiesta ST.

Press releases do mention upgraded suspension. It's not as if IRS in a FWD is difficult. We should wait and see. I can find no info on it ATM. Hopefully it will have the toe kickout of the old Focis.

Why,if you don't mind me asking? All of the above mentioned vehicles have a few things in common:
1.All are hatchbacks

2.All are the highest trim levels respective to each vehicle

3.All use forced induction

4.All are available with a manual transmission(in a couples cases,it's mandatory).
