The Punto still looks way better IMO;the Fiesta might be the same size but with it gives the impression it's not as tall with it's longer hood. I'm just not into the stubby car look but I'm not in any way saying the Abarth isn't a performer just not my flavor and gets pricey quick. 6.4 0-60? Show me that review as I'm seeing 7.1 (from Top Gear) to a best of 6.8 since if it was hitting 6.4 it would be a 14 second 1/4 mile car and the Abarth won't do that in stock trim.

I know I don't have a love affair with the micro cars especially when the prices reach into more powerful and roomy cars range but both these cars do add to the perfromance market in a multitude of ways and it's a win-win for buyers. Also I love a little trash talk so don't take offense.

Top Gear tested Abarths with engines that aren't available here in the States(and as such,what's driven in Europe doesn't always apply to the U.S. As a Focus owner you of all people should know that).

However both Car & Driver and Road & Track both did articles on the Stateside Abarths and were able to get mid 6 second times(Road & Track's October 2012 issue has the Abarth listed in the Road Test Summary with a 0 to 60 time of 6.6 seconds and 15.1 in the 1/4 mile @ 92.5 m.p.h.) And yes,like it or not that was in stock trim(which is the only way you can get an Abarth here!!)lol

I wonder if track wheels can fit in the back like they line up in the svtf. The fiesta looks narrower.

Yeah,I saw the 15.1 from the Abarth which is impressive but I'd like to see the Fiesta achieve that with it's 4 seats.

They are what they are.^^^^^^^ Its great that the manufacters are putting out performance versions for us. Its a changed world.

The fiestas have the same or less offset on wheels. They should fit pretty comparably between the two.

^^^I meant in the hatch area. In my svtf I can load track wheels stacked sideways in the hatch.

I know a few people have tried with either the rear seat folded down in their Abarth or they've removed the rear seat altogether.

I'd go for the molten orange & the orange st recaro's= just under $25,000, that 'bout 10.000 more than I paid for my st back in '04.
