Cold Start question

So I've been looking at the avg MPG info and it says I cold start %55 of the time. Does that mean I should let the car idle a little before I start driving? Whats a good idle time to let her warm up?

How do you display that information?

You go to AVG MPG, then hit OK on the left side buttons. Then I think you either hit OK or right on the controls. It'll give you the % of cold starts.

I'll take a picture later today when I drive home.

No,it doesn't mean that. In fact that practice would make your fuel economy worse. The only way to make that statistic better is to start the car when cold fewer times; maybe by consolidating trips.

There's no need to let the car idle. Start it, put on your safety belt and drive gently until the car is warmed up.
