Like how people over-compensate by lifting their truck high but the opposite.

Re: Torque Solution Shorty Antenna
Toward the end of summer 2012, I installed my flat black Torque purchased from Torque Solutions. Within approximately 60 days, the antenna had turned a bright shiny copper color.

The guys at Torque replaced it, and while I do not recall the exact conversation, I was of the impression, that they had not had this situation before. I think it was September / October when I put on the new one.

About a week ago, I found that the replacement antenna had turned a bright copper color.

So, I plasti-dipped it with flat black. I notice no difference in reception for Sirius, AM or FM (although I rarely use either AM or FM).

I tried to post the pix, but cannot figure out how. If anyone wants the picture proof you can pm me with your email address and I will send.

Here you go:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/271154636801...84.m1438.l2649

They have a 1.5", 2", 3", 4" and 5" antennas.

I've been using the radio more (I never really do because I have my iPod hooked up all the time), and been checking out Sirius and been locating my car with my GPS thing I have on it. No problems at all, even the local radio stations as well.

to thejordan.... AWD and TORQUE SOLUTIONS appear to be one & the same...

I KNOW that I have the "EV0 / S2000 Stubby Antenna, TS-BA-BL5", and I THINK that I bought it from AWD / TORQUE. (No longer have the paperwork, but there is no other place I would have purchased.)

I have ZERO complaint with the way that the company responded. I just assumed that for whatever reason, this particular model was gonna turn copper colored, and I found an easy way out (plasti-dip, no loss of reception) and took it.
