New brakes soon

Hello houston!

Ive been hidding for a while i know...

I need new brakes soon :( might do rotors as well. Anyone wants to help me? i know brakes are kind of simple but ive never done them before

The rears are going to take you about ... 5 mins. lol each. Really, it's 2 bolts and the brake caliper just slides off. Then, with a special block brake tool and a socket wrench, you push in the caliper, put in new pads and voila.

The only problem with the fronts of the SVT or any first gen Focus, that stinking clip. It's a pain. Once you get the pin off, same as the back. A couple of bolts, out, in then back to that stinking clip.

I created a how to a couple of years back ... I will look for it.

I will be needing to do mine soon as well. Except my fronts will be a conversion from stock to the SVT setup. I have the whole front SVT conversion bnib.

depending on how soon....
i will be getting my house in about a month.. so then i will have garage space.
i don't have the "special brake tool"
i just used a c-clamp and it worked fine. lol

everything is a breeze, except that clip.. like was stated.

when i do mine again.. i want to repaint the calipers.

i would be willing to help, even if its not at my place. as long as my schedule permits...

Wait, ur the silver eap guy? You live like 4-5 houses from me lol

I remember u did ur brakes few months ago and ran into problems with the rear pins, i didnt have the tool u needed sorry. Let me know when u can, 4 hands are def better than 2.
