Replacing center stack a/c vent bezels

Name: image.jpg
Views: 478
Size: 28.9 KB

I have new black bezels to replace the silverish ones in the center stack for a more uniform appearance.

After searching the archives, I've not found specific instructions for removing the existing bezels (I.e. Where to start the removal)

Can someone help?

Thank you in advance.

I've been wondering the same thing, plan on getting all the silver bezels on the dash wrapped in carbon fiber

UPDATE: I've had no success in removing the bezels. Working with the bezel on the left side of the picture, starting with the bottom tab, i was able to pull free the bezel side closest to the infotainment buttons. No success whatsoever with freeing the left side of bezel.

A buddy has suggested that I may have to remove the entire face of the infotainment system.

I'm gonna check with a friend who is a tech at my Ford dealer.

I removed mine to wrap them in vinyl by removing the center stack. I used this video, skip to around 4:30. http://youtu.be/ZnRalCCXuSc You can remove them with force but expect to break a few tabs.

Thank you for the YouTube link. You found what I could not.

Given your experience in removing the center stack and the bezels, COULD you have removed the bezels WITHOUT removing the center stack? I am trying to understand why it is necessary to remove that entire center stack in order to remove the bezels.

Many thanks.

I have MFT but I have removed the whole center stack and it came off as one piece. I don't think you can remove the bezels without removing the whole stack. The stack is very easy to remove, just take off the little plastic cover on the bottom of the stack above the climate controls. I think there are 2 screws there and the rest is held in with clips.
