I changed it a year ago or so (I bought Anchor Brand-did not last). At that time I realized the difference between the regular conical design and flat bottom design that my car uses. The point now is that neither the auto parts vendors nor Ford dealerships have this type of mount (isolator they call it). Everybody tells me I'm wrong because they do not have the engine mount in their database. If anyone knows the part number or could tell me if it is possible to buy the regular engine mount and a new proper bracket (?). 2003 Ford Focus SE, SPI (SOHC) 138K miles. All stock. Running good except for the occassional transmission jerk and the rattling noise and vibration due to the failed "isolator".

I think the 6038 FA may have superseded the 6037 FE or that's an internal Ford number or engineering number. I can't find anything like it for that part. (2000-2007, SOHC SPI, DOHC Zetec or Duratec)
You might have to buy the new hydraulic mount and accompanying bracket. Sorry not much help. |
