I have a 2013 Focus SE am trying to maximize horsepower. i already have a cold air intake. what ways do you all reccomend to boost performance cheaply?

What are your engine specs? Start there, then "follow the yellow brick road" so to speak under the Performance thread for your specific engine

I recommend first using the search function on the forum to find information that has already been covered 50,000 times.

Second I advise you to remember that this is a Ford Focus, not exactly a performance vehicle. You probably got all of none horsepower from that intake. Probably none from the exhaust as well.

Now now lyonsroar, let's not scare the new guy off! Search button is our friend though :)

First off, welcome to Focus Fanatics! As the others have said, the best way to get a bit more enjoyment out of your ride for relatively low cash would be an exhaust system. There will be other stuff coming (ecu tune, header) and those will be good to watch for. They may already make a header, but I'm not sure. For a great source of Focus parts, check out fswerks.com! They're probably the best vendor of aftermarket stuff out there.

And while it's true that no naturally aspirated focus will ever be a horsepower monster, but they can be a heck of a lot more to drive than stock!!
