Traded the Focus for a Fiesta ST

Well this past Sunday I said good bye to my MK3 focus that I have had since April 2011. Dont get me wrong I loved the MK3 but I miss the nimble feeling that my old MK1 03 focus had. So called my sales guy that I have bought a few Fords from and endded up getting a 2014 Fiesta ST performance blue fully loaded (minus the Recaros).

First picture at the dealership

Since it was on Sunday and raining I actually had it for an extended test drive. They didn't even take the window writing off.

So I cleaned it off, and took a few pictures

And for old time sakes a picture of the focus

yea, I definitely see how you could miss the smaller mk.1 Focus. I think I might consider a Fiesta ST over the Focus if I were to go that route.

To start with just tint. But I have a feeling I will end up picking up an intake , tune and a larger FMIC

This little car is a blast to drive, its as nimble if not more so then the older MK1 focus. But this thing has the power the 1st gens only dreamed of (with out boost of course).

Do you have a family at all? Or do you move any of your stuff around? Almost went with one of these but when I test drove a N/A fiesta it just felt too small and I disliked the suspension. I am also in college so I have to move my stuff every year or in two years and didn't think a fiesta could do it.

Will also be interested to see how these handle in the snow with the short wheel base.

Too much fun

I love the Rado Gray wheels. You get back the more nimble handling like the Mk1 AND moar power. Too much fun.

Yeah, that "Fun to Drive" written on the window would be redundant with the big smile you'll have on your face.

Awesome. I like the color combo. Glad more people are going Fiesta ST over the Focus ST. The Focus is a cow.

The recaros are nice, but the extra $2k would have put it over my budget. And for being my daily and being a larger guy I wanted fit with out being squeezed into the seats. So this works for me :-)
