Sounds good, Tubeway Army. I'm just a PM away if you need me.

Just an update. I'm at 25,000Km and the grinding has come back. It's not as bad as it was when I first created this thread but it's doing the exact same noises it did before it got bad.

I can feel hesitation and actually feel it skip gears. Seems to happen mainly going from 1st gear to 2nd. If i drive on the highway it's fine but as soon as I get into downtown traffic it gets bad.

I took it to Ford again only to tell me it's normal and then give me a print out of the transmission characterisitcs. I'm confused when they say it's normal becuase it didn't do this when I first bought the car. My mom and dad own the exact same car as me (2013 Focus SE) and neither of theirs make the sounds.

I'm so sick of this. I'm to the point I want to trade it off. I'm willing to even lose money and get into the ST but doesn't sound like there going to give me anything for car and the bank won't deal with it.

So it looks like I'm stuck with a car I am growing sick of and the dealor just keeps telling me it's normal.

Welcome to the club, interesting you can compare yours to our parents and see an obvious difference and it's nice to hear this to know I am not loco afterall.

I have the same issues as you, been told the same thing. Try another dealer and if that doesn't work, dump it. I am planning on doing just that, but dumping it for a stick will be difficult since the financial loss will be quite high in my case.

The DCT in my case, makes the car not very enjoyable to drive, it's a mess in stop and go traffic and on acceleration the shifts are very rough and not timed properly, shuddering and grinding.

Worst new car I ever purchased without a doubt, it's really sad because the only thing wrong with it is the DCT.

Today I am happy to say I am a owner of a new ST. The dealer figured out a way to make it happen.

Taking my 2013 Focus in tomorrow for some serious grinding noises. Worst around corners and low speeds.

That's how mine was. I'm so happy I switched over to the manual as I have yet to have any issues *knock on wood*.

Keep us posted.

My visit didn't go too well. Was told this is normal and was given the printout explaining different noises I might hear.

I've been getting the "rocks in a blender" noise lately.
