bolt on hitch

im buying a drawtite hitch for my car. I was wondering if anyone has any info on these hitches and how hard of an install it would be. I really don't want to pay to have it installed and I think its a bolt on.

My car had a drawtite on it when I bought it 8 years ago. It was pretty straight forward taking it off, and there didn't seem to be any juryrigging. Should be easy to do yourself if you get the one desi
gned for the car

I have a uhaul hitch on my 05 and it was a pretty easy install, don't believe i had to drill any holes, just used prexisting holes. To make things easier I put the car on ramps in back and used a floor jack to lift the hitch into place against the frame rails while I bolted it all down...think it was fairly straightforward and hopefully that's the case for the 2010 as well.

Hm it looks like just a tad bit more work on the 2010 with fishing bolts though access holes at the end of the frame rails (had to do a similar thing for my old mazda protege before, and while it was a bit annoying it was not anything too bad). I would think the drawtite would be similar if not the same as the uhaul unit (has to mount to the same spots anyways).

I found the instructions for the install are on the uhaul website to give you an idea ahead of time, good luck!

There's a video on e-trailer. Doesn't look too hard.

If I had the extra cash, I'd like to get a receiver for mine. ... I don't plan on towing, but it's useful if you slide in a ditch or something.
