2013 Focus, complete sound system upgrade

I'm looking at adding a complete sound system upgrade to my 13 Focus SE Hatchback. It has the base 4 speaker system with Sync, steering wheel controls, etc. I've been looking for the requirements to upgrade to a double din with all the options, i.e. nav, back up camera.....I've been out of the sound system loop for quite awhile now so I'm lost on what is needed/required. I'm looking at a new hu, separate mid's and high's, a single 8"/10" sub (maybe add another one later), one 2 channel amp (maybe add another amp later). Any ideas?

You will need a few things to make it work, heres a list for you:

Headunit
Dash adapter for a headunit
Axxess ASWC adapter (steeringwheel controls)
Harness adapters (so you dont have to cut the wires on your car.
Amp
Sub
Speakers
Amp Wiring Kit

Thats the basic setup. be sure to pair your amp RMS & Ohms with your Sub.

BUT, I would highly recommend getting a second amp to power your speakers. Upgrading the speakers wont be worth much as headunits can only push so much. IMHO, its totally worth the extra $200 on another amp & wiring kit.

Thanks for the info Viper. Most of what I've read, I've not seen where there are any adapters that have been tested and found to work with the 13 Focus. Maybe I'm not looking in the right place for this info. Do you know if the steering wheel controls, sync, etc. has changed from the 12 Focus systems to the 13 Focus?

Im not really an expert on the 2012+ foci, so I couldn't say much. You should contact Crutchfield though, if you buy your equipment though them, they will provide the adapters you need at no extra charge.
