Help - Did I Mess Up a Head Install?
After carefully cleaning the block surface, etc., I have just finished torqueing the new head bolts and.... panic!
Little tabs are sticking out at the front and rear of the exhaust side. They have small brass grommets.  Looking at the old gasket, I can see the same tabs but I can't recall if they stuck out.   The tab with the three bumps is exhaust side and front of the motor. Did I install the gasket the wrong way?? |

no that I believe is normal. the best way to find out is drop coolant in the reservoir and if it isn't installe correctly there will be coolant leaking everywhere from the head to the block

You'll also know when you put it on and ALL holes don't allign up correctly
