Should I buy it back?

My old JRSC svt focus is for sale. The current owner has done ALOT of work Timing belt, water pump, throw out bearing, tires, o2 sensors, ps pump, etc.

Its got 96k mi and he wants $8k. Should i buy it back? Id like to own it again, but I know of a couple issues that he didnt address. I just look at whats available for that amount of money and i cant justify spending that much on it. I sold it for $6k less than a year ago. What do you think?

What did he do in a year of owning it that makes it worth 2000 more? Have you spoken to the person about it? Id call him on that

in general, maintenance items like those don't really add value like he has it marked up. If owning that car again is work 2k to you, go for it. If not, I'd look for another project.

I am going to have to agree with Ben on this. Yes, he did put in the money to have the maintenance done on the vehicle but it shouldn't have raised the cost $2,000 in one year. Personally, I would move onto something else unless you really have your heart set on this. If that's the case, you could always try to bargain with him on the price.

At that price point, I see SVT's for sale with fewer miles from dealers.

this is true, but those ones dont have a blower.

I think im going to pass. $8k is alot of money, especially since i already talked him down lol.
