For the plastidip, I've heard that to make it removable, you have to layer it, and layering it to that point, it becomes darker than you'd think. Why not get some vinyl?

plastidip smoke is really for chrome, its a dull gray color when put on tail lights, and doesn't look good IMO. go with vht niteshades if you want a spray for the sides, yes it is removable with a little gas and elbow grease. and do a vinyl for the tails and stretch it over and everything

Meh.

Use the film. You will be much happier with the result when it's done.

Has anyone heard of this gloss dip?? If it does what its supposed to i might use it on the dull plastic on the front of the car.

It's a glossifier, so idk I was thinking about doing the same thing on my car, I just wasn't sure if it's a rubberized spray that's gloss or it just adds gloss to the already dipped parts.

Well you go and get yourself 1 can VHT Nightshade from lets say NAPA, or O'Reilly's, as well as a can of clear coat, some wet/dry sand paper the muti pack that comes with a few different grits.
1st Remove what ever you want to tint, clean them in soapy water and let them air dry. 2nd Sand them with the wet sand lower number grit to rough up the surface, then wipe it off with a dry clean rag. 3rd Spray your first LIGHT coat of VHT, wait 7 minutes, spray another LIGHT coat, wait 10 minutes and spray a pretty decent amount (not enough to make it run), wait 10 minutes and add a fourth coat light if you want them lighter, heavy if you want them dark. Wait 10 minutes apply clear coat in medium coats waiting 5 minutes between coats. 3 coats of clear should do ya. 4th Wait till everything is dry……..wait a few more minutes just to make sure…… Now you can do one of two things, You can install them here and be done with it OR you can buffer and polish them to make them glossy. I would recommend Meguiar’s Ultimate Compound. I have done several vehicles this way and they all are still good looking, some people will say not to put clear coat on them it doesn’t matter really, Good luck. Use VHT and get someone to clear them with a gun and some good auto clear. They will look like glass. Here's a the link to my old cougar.
