Talking Garage opener on 2013 models

Is the garage door opener available on 2013 models? If not what does it take to wire one up from a 2012 model?

then its aint a 13, because in the 2013 model there is no homelink garage door opener on any visor, you have to order it from your dealer which are from the 2012, and all you ahve to do is tap in the roof wiring, like the rain sensor under the black plastic cover in your middle rear view mirror, or in the sunroof power.

I had an aftermarket dimming rear view mirror with homelink installed. Not impressed this was de-contented for 2013. But problem solved now.

I installed the Homelink visor in my 13. It plugs in to the wire for the existing visor. It doesn't make a clean snug into the "U" shaped bracket to keep the visor secured. But it hasn't been an issue holding it in place.

So its just a plug and play thing then? How much did the visor cost? It would be awesome to not have to have the garage door opened in the car anymore.

Think I paid about $65-75 with shipping, its not an exact match, but doesn't bother the wife and it works great.

This is where I got mine: http://www.ebay.com/itm/BRAND-NEW-OE...347541?vxp=mtr
I'm sure there are other sellers. Pop the cover off that covers the screws to hold visor. Track the wire that is connected to the visor up in the headliner. It is taped down. Then undo the wire clip connection. Plug in new one and screw it in. The cover you took off won't fit over the replacement visor.

This is one of the things that I like about my car.

Either Ford decided that people don't have garages or they don't have those newfangled hi-tech automatic garage door openers.

They felt they had to cut the $$ somewhere, I just think they picked the wrong thing to cut.
