The 5.0 Mustang Curb weight I estimate to be around 4200lbs so the 420 HP it pumps out equates to a drivers race between the two cars in a straight line (10HP)

This kind of performance from a RS car seems right. The car would be able to do at LEAST 100MPH in the 1/4 mile and make mince meat out of the Nürburgring making this the fastest RS ever made.

100 in the quarter BEFORE Tom gets his hands on it. God only knows what Focus Power will do to a monster like that. You'll probably need to upgrade the Haldex controller if it uses one...

That's exactly why I own a VW instead of a Ford right now.

If Ford had brought either a 3 door Fiesta or a 3 door Focus, I'd be driving one. When they bring out a 3 door AWD model --I'll preorder the damn thing and ditch the VW.

AWD is too expensive and adds too much weight, period. This is the reason it has never happened in any of the Focus or Fiesta lines. It has happened in the Mondeo(Contour/Mystic) with a 2.0L Zetec

As for Nuerburgring times, it needs to beat the Renault Megane RS Trophy to be the fastest FWD. Something the Chevy Cobalt SS held for a few months.

As for generic off the dealership showroom floor, the Cobalt SS/TC still holds that record.

Next would be the C307 Focus RS.

There's no way a Focus RS costs substantially less than a Golf R which does have a Haldex in the ass end. You may think it's dead weight, but it's safer and more versitile --in addition to increasing traction when you're making big power. An LSD doesn't keep you from getting suck in the mud, and it's no solution to torque steer.

dont be too quick on that. if my memory serves me right, that RS was bought from mexico and, the owner would drive it to meets here in the states. think he even had trouble trying to purchase the car from mexico.

I couldn't see the pic Stock put up, but if it is the Verde Electrico RS in Chicago, it's the real deal. pkrehbiel has dual citizenship, the car is registered in Mexico.
